Authorities identified Jonathan on Tuesday after responding to a call of a possible shooting in rural Ralls County, just outside Monroe City.
According to the Ralls County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a remote property in the early hours of Sunday morning, where they discovered the body of an adult male who had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The victim was later identified as Jonathan Floyd.

Armour, 57, of Paris — opened fire on responding law enforcement.
During the exchange, a Randolph County deputy was struck and sustained a non-life-threatening injury. Emergency medical services quickly transported the deputy to a nearby hospital, where they continue to recover.
At approximately 2 p.m., the Moberly Police Department’s SWAT Team was called in to assist. By 4:50 p.m., after securing the scene, SWAT officers entered the residence and found Armour deceased.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to piece together the timeline and motives surrounding these tragic events.
